Ceramic wedding favors???

Monday, May 18th, 2009

There is a lot to planning a wedding and reception, but the one thing that seems to take the longest to decide, is what to get your guests as thank you gifts. There is choices like practical gifts that they can use at home, crystal gifts or maybe even ceramic wedding favors figurines. Whatever your preference, I found out there are an awful lot of each to choose from.
I’ve even found ceramic favors for my country themed wedding ceremony and reception party. Favors made of ceramic are perfect for any wedding you want to have. I found these little black ceramic wedding trays and tea caddys that I thought were really awesome. There are plenty of suggestions from candle holders to gorgeous tea lights and even flower vases as ceramic wedding gifts. In fact, there were so many to choose from, and like I said before, gift shopping is the hardest part of planning a wedding, so, I saved that for last.
So, decorating my reception tables was the first task on hand. My centerpieces fit right in with a country western motif, as I used metal buckets filled with daisies, and used tablecloths with red and white checks over all the picnic tables. I bought adorable little barbecue grills as place card holders, which I let all the guests keep after the reception. I figured little barbecue grills were a neat idea, since we weren’t having a catered reception, but instead, a large family cookout. We had cowboy shaped glasses to drink from and little tiny cowboy hats at each guests place setting to add to the western motif. I chose the really lovely honey pots and dippers, with a heart on the end on their handles, as the ceramic wedding favors for our guests, instead of the tea caddy I saw earlier. They were the perfect choice for our country western reception and they looked so cute. Although, I almost went with black ceramic wedding candle holders, which were really awesome. Our tables looked fantastic and with all the surrounding décor accessories, it looked like the perfect down home celebration.
With the haystacks we set up and the white lights twinkled in the trees, it was the epitome of a country wedding. Our wedding cake topper was not to be believed, it was figurines of a cowgirl roping her man and hauling him to the altar. We all had a good laugh from our whimsical cake topper. We all had a night to remember, with dancing, partying and lots of great laughs. One of the most creative and enjoyable thing we had going on, was an awesome hayride for everyone, and the kids really got a big kick out of that.
Our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all the people that cared enough to be in our wedding party received nice little gifts from us too. I bought for the ladies in my wedding party and my fiance chose the guys gifts, which were adorable things ceramic favors for the girls and really neat looking cowboy steins for the guys. We bought a flower girl tee shirt and a ring bearer tee shirt for the adorable kids in the wedding. Everyone seemed to be happy with the thank you gifts we chose for them.
I ordered bride and groom cowboy hats for me and my husband, a few accessories like an adorable western themed guest book and pen set, and a gorgeous wedding album to store the memories of today in. I was hoping a country western wedding and reception would be cool, but I never thought it could have been so fantastic and that everyone would have such a wonderful time.
